The retail sales of Christmas candies retail exceeded 2 billion last year
The sales of St. Nicholas Day and Christmas candies in outles surpassed the amount of 2 billion HUF last year. This result is 11 percent less than that of the previous years – Nielsen market research group pointed out.
However, the turnover of the traditional Christmas packages increased to nearly 400 million HUF. The most popular items proved to be Nicholas-figures made of chocolate, which covered more than half of last year's entire turnover. Last year, they covered 56 percent of the entire turnover, which means 1,3 billion HUF.
