Michelin Guide: Rumour by Jenő Rácz is the standard-bearer of the “counter dining” experience in Budapest
The Michelin Guide’s year-end international compilation (“The World’s Best Chef’s Table Restaurants: 14 MICHELIN Guide Picks”) also includes Rumour by Jenő Rácz, thus Budapest is also included in the list presenting the world’s most exciting chef’s table / counter dining experiences.
According to the Michelin Guide, Rumour is one of the most sought-after counter dining places in the Hungarian capital: the concept is based on the chef’s European and Asian experiences, with a “global twist” of cuisine (such as Sichuan pepper, garam masala, caviar), which is combined with French techniques and Japanese precision. The 21-seat counter makes the experience truly intimate: guests can sit around the open kitchen and watch the dishes being prepared.
