Upon Meiko’s invitation MVI president László Kovács and Coninvest Ltd. organised a trip to Germany, where the second company they visited was catering firm Tellertaxi. MVI’s president told our magazine that Tellertaxi might be considered a small firm in Germany but it would be a giant in Hungary. Compared with Hungary, the restaurant and party service market is booming in Germany. As opposed to this, in Hungary customers expect such low prices from catering companies that make it impossible to invest in new tools and equipment. Because of this, catering companies are forced to rent pots and pans, chairs and tables, serving, cooling and heating devices and counters from ‘non-food catering companies’. Visitors saw what kind of new materials they use in Germany and they also saw interesting packaging solutions. As regards La Fiesta’s own innovations, the president is really proud of their finger food stand and table lighting system. He added that everything has to be made portable – all of the company’s crates and cases were designed and made especially for their equipment.
