The 240th store of PENNY Hungary opened its doors in Mezőkövesd on July 10. The newest unit of the department store chain awaits customers not only with the usual budget-friendly offer and fresh, domestic ingredients, but also with modern, energy-saving solutions and opening discounts.

Modern store premises, energy-efficient investments

The new store in Mezőkövesd opened on Mátyás Király út, where modern energy developments were implemented. The old gas-fired system was replaced by electric cooling and heating, the facade and attic of the building received new insulation, and the doors and windows were replaced with multi-layer thermally insulated windows. The aim of the developments is to allow customers to do their everyday shopping in a more comfortable environment, while the store chain further reduces its environmental impact.

The store currently employs 15 employees, including part-time colleagues, thus ensuring the expansion of employment opportunities for the local community.

Additional discounts and prize draw

The usual high-quality, domestic fruit and vegetable offer awaits customers at the PENNY in Mezőkövesd, and the first free-range Hungarian watermelons of the season have also arrived on the store shelves.

The discount offers of the store chain are worth keeping an eye on this time too: the Hungarian melon season will start with an extra weekend discount in the stores, and to mark the opening, customers will also be invited to a prize draw between July 10 and 16. Those who shop at the new store and use their PENNY Card will automatically participate in the promotional game, where 30 PENNY Prize Cards worth 10,000 forints will be awarded. In addition, during the opening weekend, between July 10 and 13, every purchase over 5,000 forints will also come with a free plush figure.

PENNY remains committed to providing its customers with fresh, reliable quality, domestic products and budget-friendly prices all year round.
