Metro: four less stores in Germany
The German supermarket chain Metro closes four of its wholesale stores in Germany: Closes the Cash & Carry store in Halle, in Berlin-Pankow and Berlin-Marzahnban and sells the store in Rostock.
The measure is part of the overall savings and restructuring program, which was introduced in order to make Metro’s wholesale division profitable again. The number of jobs will decrease by 900, because of these measures.
The Metro Group's net loss decreased to 16 million euros from the 98 million euros of a year earlier in the first three month ended with the 31st of March – reports Origo.
