Amazon uses AI to scan products for defects before delivery
Amazon uses AI to detect faulty products before they are delivered. Amazon’s “Project P.I” model (P.I. stands for private investigator) combines generative AI with computer vision to help find defects such as damaged products or mismatched colours and sizes, before the goods reach customers.

Project P.I. also aims to help identify the root cause of problems, thus enabling preventive action. According to Amazon, the system already successfully scanned millions of products passing through designated fulfilment centres each month, and identified what the problems were with the products. //
