According to a new bill of proposed legislation from California, the use of plastic packaging material would be banned in Californian restaurants. It is argued that at least 90 per cent of the plastic trash contaminating Californian benches comes from restaurants. Such a ban would not be unprecedented, as plastic bags and boxes have been outlawed in San Francisco and Oakland for similar reasons.
