The demand for fruits and vegetables has decreased
The Hungarian households spend almost a tenth of their annual food expenditure on fruit and vegetables.
Although the customer base remains the same, because of the difficulties of the recent years, households purchase less and less frequently from this category. As a result, sales declined in both categories – shows GfK’s Household Panel Data. The consumers are carrying out the purchases in mainly markets, at primary producers and fruit and vegetable shops.
