Raw milk prices decreased in December

The producer price of raw milk, expressed in national currency, decreased by 6 percent in the European Union, 10 percent in New Zealand, and 19 percent in the USA in November 2025 compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was 189.6 forints/kilogram in December 2025. In addition to the 0.03 percentage point improvement in fat content, 0.01 percentage point decrease in protein content, and 3 percent decrease in the basic price, the average price of raw milk decreased by 3 percent in December 2025 compared to November and by 6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The purchase of raw milk in December 2025 exceeded the previous month’s volume by 7 percent and by 5 percent compared to December 2025. The export price of raw milk was 154.63 forints/kilogram in December 2025, down 8 percent from the previous month and 27 percent from the same month of the previous year. The export price was 18 percent lower than the average producer price. According to AKI PÁIR data, raw milk shipments increased by 10 percent in December 2025 compared to November, while they decreased by 21 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
