The growth of the Gross Domestic Product slowed down in Europe
The performance of economic growth in the second quarter in the euro area has been slower than in the first quarter – according to Eurostat’s preliminary estimate.
At Eurostat’s first reading, gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.3 percent in the 19 euro area Member States and by 0.4 percent in the European Union’s 28 member states in the second quarter, compared with the previous quarter.
Annual GDP growth in the euro area was 2.1 percent, 2.2 percent in the EU in the second quarter. (MTI)
