Egg-prices going through a moderate raise during the Easter-season
Egg-prices in Hungary are facing a moderate, less than 10 percent increase during the Easter-season, due to the decrease of effective demand.
This Easter, egg-prices are going through a rather moderate raising of prices only, less than 10 percent which means around 2 HUF extra expense for consumers. „The average raise in the previous years ranged between 20-25 percent, but there is no effective demand to pay such prices at the moment” – Hungarian Poultry-product Council (BTT) announced. Hungary belongs to the world's top egg-consumers, there are around 13 million hens in the country the income from egg-production is over 26 billion HUF.
