Consumer prices rose sharply in Germany in August
Consumer prices continued to rise sharply in Germany in August, according to a final series of data released by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on Friday. During the review, no changes were made to the previously reported data set.

Inflation jumps in Germany
Consumer prices jumped 3.9 percent in August from a year earlier, the last time a stronger pace was measured in December 1993, when the indicator stood at 4.3 percent. Prices have been rising steadily in Germany since January, at 3.8 percent in July and 2.7 percent in June. (MTI)
