Quick report on agricultural producer prices by KSH
The level of agricultural producer prices decreased by 13 percent in June 2009, compared to the same period of the previous year. In particular, the price level of plant products decreased by 17.5 percent, live animals and animal products by 3.9 percent.
In June 2009 the producer price of cereals compared to the results of June 2008 decreased by 22.6 percent, the price of vegetables by 3.1 percent, the price of fruits by 23.6 percent.
The producer price of potatoes, however, grew by 20.6 percent.
The producer price of cut animals grew by 1.5 percent. The price of beef increased by 7.1 pigs by 6.5 percent, while the price of poultry decreased by 5.2 percent – reports Central Statistical Office.
