Pálinka should be a leading agricultural product, a global brand
The government aims to make pálinka as a leading agricultural product, to be a global brand in the coming years. The pálinka takes a special part in the agricultural strategy, this brand is a hungaricum – Mengyi Roland (Fidesz) MP said in Boldogkőváralja, at a press conference on Saturday.
The politician, who is also the chairman of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county’s general assembly told at the 2nd Gönci Peach Feast (Gönci Barack Vigasság) held by the Bestillo Pálinka House, that the consumption of pálinka is enjoying a renaissance both in Hungary and abroad. The sales of pálinka rise year-on-year, therefore, it is important to also pay attention to quality. The trade guarantee scheme serves this goal. (MTI)
