McDonald's job ad told in anime – Video of the day
If only flipping burgers looked and felt as wonderful as this. To drive up recruitment, McDonald’s Japan has come up with a coming-of-age anime story.
The ad depicts an awkward teen learning how to work in the service industry through her mentor. The company made six versions of this animation, one for each region in Japan. It even stars famous pop group ‘AKB48’ as voice actresses.
It’s part of the fast-food chain’s ‘Crew ni Naro’ campaign, which translates as ‘join the crew’. McDonald’s wants to hire more millennials as part-time workers, and using anime has largely succeeded in making the brand relatable.
