The use of the new energy labels on certain products of technical stores and in the product brochures of web stores is mandatory from Monday, the Hungarian Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (MEKH) told MTI.
They explained that in addition to the most commonly purchased household appliances, televisions and light sources, we have seen energy labels since 2010. Energy labels help consumers to make information and make an informed choice, as in addition to the price of products, an important factor is the energy use of the selected product: ie how much electricity or water it consumes.
