The European Week of Bees: The humankind will starve without bees
If the bees become extinct,it will be the end of the human race – Szanyi Tibor, the MEP of MSZP told in Brussels as the host of the conference organized by Copa-Cogeca held within the the European Week of Bees. The Copa-Cogeca is the largest agricultural representative association of the EU.
In his interview on Friday he informed MTI that he explained at the meeting that due to the bee destruction the humankind may be on the edge of starvation sooner than because of any other reasons.
“Although honey production is very important for, the most important thing that the bees do is to pollinate the plants” – he added. (MTI)
