Unilever would buy Sara Lee’s cosmetics business

The 1.275 billion euros transaction is waiting for the approval of the European trade unions and the authorities. Unilever can not be disclosed the concrete steps of the merger, until the company has not obtain the permission of the authorities.

The transaction, affects brand of cosmetic concerns, such as Sanex, Radox or the Dushdas, which will strengthen Unilever's leading position in the cosmetics and deodorants category. The Sara Lee brand of cosmetic related business complement to the popular Unilever oral care, a strong detergent and baby care products, such as Gabi brand.
