Disabled people are employed at McDonald's
The two-year joint program of the Salva Vita Foundation and McDonald's has ended. The program aimed to to improve the employment of disabled young people – the representatives of the participants announced on Tuesday at a press conference in Budapest.
The goal of the project was that especially young workers with mentally impair, autism and learning disabilities, can sign on long-term jobs in McDonald's restaurants in Budapest and around the capital, mostly for cleaning jobs.
21 young people with disabilities were selected to involve in the project 14 of them are still working in the restaurants of McDonald's. Mentors were helping the activities of the employees from participating in job interviews to the integration into the communities of the restaurants. (MTI)
