Transfer pricing rules are changing in Hungary
In the course of 2022, several laws were amended that affected the current transfer pricing rules. 32/2017, published most recently by the Ministry of Finance on December 9, 2022. Based on the draft legislation related to the amendment of the NGM Regulation, the Hungarian transfer pricing environment will change significantly. The new rules and key points were summarized by Ilona Orbók, head of the Hungarian BDO Tax Consulting business.
On July 27, 2022, Act XXIV of 2022 on the establishment of Hungary’s central budget for 2023 was announced, which is the Tao. tv, Art. and 32/2017. The NGM also made significant changes in the transfer pricing rules with regard to the Regulation. Based on the changes in the summer and autumn tax package, as well as the draft legislation published by the Ministry of Finance on December 9 (on the amended NGM Regulation), taxpayers will have to face several far-reaching changes related to transfer pricing.
