The Cyclist-Friendly Service Provider of the Year was elected
The Hungarian Cycling Tourism Association (MAKETUSZ) has awarded the Cyclist-Friendly Service Provider of the Year award for the second time, and the title was won by Sarudi Töltés Fröccterasz és Hamburgerező – MAKETUSZ announced to MTI on Monday.
The association launched the vote with the aim of allowing as many people as possible to get to know one of the many cyclist-friendly accommodations, restaurants or attractions in our country that provide high-quality cyclist-friendly services. The winner was selected from among the cyclist-friendly service providers found in the association’s free-to-download Cyclist-Friendly application.
The free-to-download Cyclist-Friendly application has been helping to plan hiking routes for more than two years, but cyclists can also track which service providers offer what services: where there is a service point, accommodation or even a water supply.
This year, more than 800 bicycle-friendly service providers participated in the vote, and bicycle-friendly services include accommodation, catering units and attractions, said Ádám Coates, project manager of the bicycle-friendly network. He highlighted that bicycle tourism is developing more and more in Hungary and there are more and more service providers who recognize this trend and offer cyclists various services and discounts.
