Visit Hungary and the Hungarian Tourism Academy launch renewed tourism training
Visit Hungary and the Hungarian Tourism Academy have launched the highly successful Tourinform Plus training again this year, which this time awaits participants in a new format and with expanded topics. The course entitled “Advanced Local Tourism Organization in Practice” offers not only Tourinform professionals but also employees of settlement and tourism organizations, attractions and public cultural institutions the opportunity to expand their knowledge.
The 14-session, 85-hour program, taking place between September 24 and January 30, covers a wide range of topics, from practical issues of destination management to city marketing and the professional use of NTAK data. The training also includes on-site practice and online lectures, where participants can directly learn about the latest approaches and data-based solutions in domestic tourism management.
According to Olivér Csendes, CEO of Visit Hungary, continuous professional knowledge updating, which the training ensures, is essential for professional destination management. Anita Molnár, head of the VH Tourinform Coordination Office, added that the knowledge acquired will also help students support local tourism developments and marketing work as professional consultants.
The interest in the program was outstanding this year as well: the places were already filled by mid-August before the application deadline of September 5. The organizers have indicated that, given the great interest, they will announce the course again in 2026.
Completion of the training is confirmed by a certificate, which is equivalent to the qualification required for the Tourinform office manager position.
