The Pizza Hut restaurant in downtown Eger has opened with a new look. The unit follows the Modern Dine In concept, which complements traditional table service with digital solutions. Guests can order and pay from their smartphones using a QR code, and there is also a self-service drink station. The restaurant welcomes visitors with an open kitchen, bar and separate seating areas, and the “Ice Cream Factory” ice cream station has also been launched.

The Pizza Hut restaurant in Eger, which recently opened, combines traditional hospitality with a modern appearance and modern technological solutions. The transformed interior – with an open kitchen and bar – makes good use of the features and creates a spacious, friendly environment for guests. Comfort was prioritized in the design: the seating areas divided into different zones provide the opportunity for both relaxed conversation and shared meals. The neon lights and the Hypno Hut branding give the restaurant a distinctive, easily recognizable atmosphere.

A special attraction is the brand new “Ice Cream Factory” station, where guests can make and enjoy their own dessert.

Soon all of their restaurants will be transformed

“The transformation of our restaurants is a direction we have been following for years. We want Pizza Hut to be a modern, comfortable place that meets the needs of our guests. The Modern Dine In concept is not only about open, energetic interiors, but also about solutions that make visiting the restaurant even more comfortable. And this is just the beginning! We want our guests to really feel the new positioning of the brand – Feed Good Times,” says Miklós Kozák, head of Pizza Hut Hungary.

Feed Good Times – the renewed direction of the brand

The reopening in Eger also reflects Pizza Hut’s renewed global brand direction – Feed Good Times. This positioning emphasizes the joy of shared moments and encourages guests to build relationships, relax and enjoy delicious food together. Whether it’s a quick lunch, a family dinner or a spontaneous meeting with friends, the restaurant is designed to provide positive experiences and create a sense of belonging. The combination of modern technology, a warm interior and friendly service supports this direction, ensuring that every Pizza Hut visit creates an opportunity for “good times”.

In September 2024, we introduced the first of the Modern Dine In concepts in Pécs, allowing guests to place their order and pay their bill themselves. Thanks to the QR codes placed on the tables, they can quickly order and pay directly from their smartphone. After scanning the code, the website or app guides the user through the process – they just need to enter the table number and that’s it. After placing an order, guests who are pressed for time have full access to the self-serve beverage station, where free refills, cutlery and crockery are available.

Online ordering is on the rise

Of course, one thing that never changes is the delicious pizza – made from iconic recipes and high-quality ingredients. For those who prefer to enjoy their favorite pizza at home or in the office, the restaurant also offers convenient takeout and delivery options.

“We have seen a significant increase in the number of on-site orders placed through digital solutions. We are confident that these features should be part of every new Pizza Hut restaurant. We offer our guests the ordering options that best suit their needs. Younger guests especially like online ordering and self-service. But if someone prefers to talk to the waiter, they can do that too – and we have no intention of giving up on that,” adds Viktória Hubai, Marketing Manager at Pizza Hut.

All these changes serve one goal: to maximize guest convenience and satisfaction. Orders can be placed on the website, in the app, with a QR code or directly to the waiter – the choice is entirely up to the guests. Pizza Hut restaurants are places where technology meets the joy of eating together.
