One of Budapest’s iconic ALDI stores has been renewed
ALDI Magyarország renewed it in Budapest, XI. district’s shop at Rétköz utca 10/B. After the closure for a few days, customers can expect new store equipment, modern and energy-saving LED lighting, as well as numerous discounts of up to 60%.
The ALDI store on Rétköz Street is extremely popular among customers. In the southern part of the Gazdagrét housing estate, near the entrance section of the M1/M7 highway, XI. and the XII. The department store located on the border of the district is preferred by the residents of Madárhegy, Sasad, Farkasrét, and Magasút, but many workers here also often visit the department store. ALDI has rearranged its store to make shopping even more convenient due to the heavy traffic. After the work, which took three days, the entire store received new furniture and modern LED-based lighting, and the building’s heat pump system was renovated.
After the reopening, customers will now find the fruit and vegetable counter directly at the entrance, where they can choose from about 120 types of fresh products, mostly from Hungarian sources. The company installs new fresh meat refrigerators in its stores across the country, so these modern upright refrigerators with tilted shelves with glass doors were recently added to the Rétköz utca unit as well. Freestanding coolers take up less space compared to coolers, but their capacity measured in shelf flow meters is twice as large, so on the one hand, they can accommodate a variety of products, and on the other hand, they can be filled with a larger quantity at the same time. The innovative, inclined shelves provide a more comfortable shopping experience and simplify the placement of meat products for the goods loaders. Thanks to the new upright coolers, ALDI’s year-round selection of fresh meat will be 20% larger, and 15 other products – fats, bacon – will be added to the range, and twice as many barbecue products will be available during the summer grilling season than before.
