Miskolci Árucsarnok was modernised
Coop’s most profitable store is Miskolci Árucsarnok, which had been completely modernised after 15 years before it reopened on 29 March. Gates had to be opened 30 minutes earlier than scheduled because of the crowd that had gathered. Unió Coop Zrt. invested HUF 200 million in the modernisation. Customers were happy to see that the staff was the same as before. When entering the store, it can be seen at once that not only new products, but new services were introduced too. To the right of the entrance there is a small snack bar where grilled meats, chips, fresh bakery products, coffee and soft drinks are available. On the fruit and vegetable section’s shelves RFID-technology electronic shelf labels are mounted, the store is modern and spacious; the cooling system reuses the heat it generates, which is a great solution for the heating season. Five digital scales were installed at the deli department. All the shopping bags available in the store are degradable and the store meets the highest environmental standards.
