The personal loan market has soared
Instead of the previous 10 million forints, a personal loan of up to 15 million forints is now available at K&H for those with the appropriate income. The maximum amount of 15 million is exceptional, as only a few banks currently offer such an amount. The move is understandable, as the personal loan market is showing significant growth; according to central bank data, the expansion in this segment was more than 40 percent in the first half of the year. The increased loan amount is partly explained by the fact that those taking out a 3% home loan are likely to transform or renovate the property they have purchased, for which they may also need a personal loan.
K&H has significantly increased the maximum amount of personal loans in response to strong market demand. Instead of the previous upper limit of 10 million forints, it now offers personal loans of up to 15 million forints to applicants with the appropriate income. This loan amount is outstanding in the Hungarian market, as not all banks provide such a high amount.
In a few minutes
“The larger loan amount is accompanied by fast and convenient administration: the entire process can be completed in a few minutes in the K&H mobile bank or via e-bank. If the applicant’s net income reaches the credit limit and at least 150 thousand forints are regularly received into their bank account per month, then the interest rate will remain below 10% for the entire term
– said Gergő Molnár, Head of Retail Marketing at K&H Bank.
The ceiling increase is understandable
K&H’s expanded offer is also aligned with domestic market trends. According to data from the Hungarian National Bank, personal loan contracts worth 527 billion forints were concluded in the first six months of this year, which represents a 42 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year. Since March, the amount of new contracts has exceeded 90 billion forints every month, which shows the outstanding demand for personal loans. They are taken for home renovations and car purchases most loans, so it is understandable that customers also need larger loan amounts.
“The demand for workers’ loans contributed to the growth, but the 3% home loan is likely to further stimulate demand for personal loans, most likely for larger amounts, since the cost of home renovations has not decreased in the past and will also increase in the future due to the expected concentrated demand. The volume of personal loan disbursements increased by 34 percent in the first half of the year compared to the previous year. That is why K&H decided to increase the maximum amount that can be requested to HUF 15 million, so that our customers can realize their plans with even greater financial needs”
– added the K&H specialist.
