A green bond was issued by Vajda-Paper Ltd.
The first industrial production company was issued green bonds in Hungary, issued by Vajda Paper Ltd., hungary’s leading manufacturer of hygienic paper products, for HUF 9.9 billion in the Growth Bond Programme (NKP) of the Hungarian National Bank (MNB). Within 90 days of the auction, the bond will also be introduced to its corporate bond platform, BÉT Xbond. A fixed-rate, amortising bond has a maturity of 10 years, a bond coupon rate of 3.5% and a yield of 2.82%. Green bonds attracted considerable investor interest, with an offer of HUF 16.6 billion received during the auction. Attila Vajda, the company’s founding and managing director, recalled that this is their second successful issue in the central bank program after last year’s successful bond issue of HUF 11 billion.
