The development momentum of the dairy sector may stop

The high feed prices, the increase in production costs, the reduction in the price of milk, the lack of development resources may cause a slowdown in the development of the Hungarian dairy sector.

In recent months the number of cows has increased with 5 – 6 thousand, which is now around 220 thousand. However, due to unfavorable economic conditions, the rising in the number of cows may stop as well as milk production growth and even a fall may occur in milk production and in the number of cows.
