The GVH has terminated the proceeding initiated in the melon case
The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) has terminated the competition supervision proceeding initiated in the melon case on April 10, because the authority believes that with the continuation of the proceeding, effective protection of the public interest would not be implemented.
The GVH launched the process on 27 August 2012 against ALDI, Auchan, CBA, Lidl, SPAR, Tesco, the Hungarian Watermelon Association and FruitVeB, because they presumably agreed in the price of watermelon cultivated in Hungary. (MTI)
