According to the statement, from April 15, two border crossings in Croatia, Udvar and Letenje, can be used by drivers transporting ungulates or products derived from these animals; all such vehicles will be disinfected. Mandatory cleaning, washing and disinfection measures also apply to empty road vehicles used to transport live animals susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease or raw milk. These vehicles must undergo disinfection before entering Croatia, for which they must have official confirmation and present it upon request by the competent authority, they added.
There is still no personal control at the Hungarian-Croatian border
According to information from Slovak and Austrian counterparts, border measures related to the implementation of controls on vehicles transporting animals in connection with foot-and-mouth disease were lifted from 0:00 on Wednesday. Accordingly, traffic could resume at border crossing points on the Hungarian-Austrian and Hungarian-Slovak routes, they highlighted, adding that longer waiting times can be expected at operating border crossings.
