The EP has voted on the sheep and goat sector report
The Agriculture and Rural Development Committee of the European Parliament (EP) has voted for the sheep and goat sector report containing Hungarian proposals as well.
According to Erdős Norbert, Fidesz MEP’s communication sent to MTI on Thursday, the report supports the grazing of dry and poor quality grasslands in Hungary in ecologically important areas.
The representative said that sheep and goat farming have an important role to play in rural employment in Hungary, especially in the backward regions, and in preserving the natural environment and landscape. (MTI)
