Lekkerland Opens First Rewe To Go at a German Motorway Rest Stop
Convenience specialist Lekkerland, in cooperation with Tank & Rast, has opened the first Rewe To Go store at a German motorway service station. The pilot location is situated along the A2 motorway near Hamm, at the Rhynern Nord rest area in North Rhine-Westphalia.

According to Rewe, the shop offers a wide range of fresh snacks and meals including wraps, salads, sushi, sandwiches, and hot pasta dishes. Customers can also find coffee specialties, chilled drinks, snacks, sweets, tobacco products, and a selection of groceries and drugstore items, Lebensmittelpraxis reports.
“Our goal is to offer travelers and commuters attractive stopover options,” said Jennifer Schmidt-Brekenfeld, managing director at Tank & Rast. “This new store is a pilot project to support that goal.”
Rewe To Go is one of Germany’s leading convenience formats, with over 900 locations—most of which are at Aral petrol stations. Around 30 additional stores, operated by Lekkerland or franchise partners, are located at airports, train stations, and in city centers. In 2024, Lekkerland achieved €9.6 billion in revenue and supplies around 40,000 points of sale across Germany.
