Gulfood in Dubai opens, 24 exhibitors at AMC’s stand
One of the world’s leading food industry exhibitions is Gulfood in Dubai, which plays a decisive role in shaping trade relations with the Gulf region. The Agricultural Marketing Center participates in the prestigious event every year, this time the community stand awaits professional visitors with the participation of 24 exhibitors.
Honey, oilseeds, chutneys and fermented sauces, drink and ice cream powders, as well as waterfowl, duck and goose liver products are among the products on display at the stands of Hungarian exhibitors at the 30th Gulfood food and beverage trade fair, which is celebrating its anniversary. The international significance of the exhibition is demonstrated not only by the foreign buyers visiting the fair, but also by the traditionally strong re-export activity of the Emirates. It is the largest of the annual food trade exhibitions in the world. In the uncertain world market in many respects, the region’s continuously growing demand and supply of food is a stabilizing factor. Interestingly, in 2024, the largest exhibition in the history of Gulfood took place with 5,500 exhibitors and more than 140,000 interested visitors.
At the impressive 168-square-meter stand of the Agricultural Marketing Center, the 24 exhibitors not only have the opportunity to introduce themselves, but they can also conduct business negotiations with interested trade partners. It is a great recognition that the fermented date mustard product of Ökotáj Plusz Kft. was selected for the “Innovation Awards” competition, which showcases the most innovative products of the exhibition.
The Hungarian Food Business Program, the company’s food export development business, is also represented at the event. Distributors interested in Hungarian products are continuously registered in the Program’s digital catalog. The online database currently includes 250 Hungarian food manufacturing companies with 2,300 products, 519 foreign purchasing companies and 153 other users (typically embassies, consulates general, professional organizations).
