JYSK opens its hundredth store in Ukraine
The Danish-based international retail chain JYSK is opening its hundredth store in Ukraine, Jevhen Ivanicja, director of JYSK in Ukraine, told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
The new store will open on Thursday in the city of Chernivtsi in southwestern Ukraine, this will be the second JYSK store in the county seat, the first one was opened in October 2019, the director added.
He said that with the opening of the latest store, the company will now have a hundred stores in 35 cities of Ukraine, and it also has an online store in Ukraine. JYSK, which distributes home furnishing products, employs more than 800 people in the country.
Ivanicja touched on the fact that the chain has invested about 400 million hryvnias (3.7 billion forints) in Ukraine since the beginning of the war started by Russia in February 2022. “During this time, we opened twenty stores, renovated 17, and restored six,” he listed.
