MediaMarkt’s 40th store opened in Eger
MediaMarkt is pleased to announce its newest store opening in Eger. The recently handed over “Shop in a shop” type store is the 40th physical sales point of Hungary’s largest retailer of technical goods. At the same time as the preparations for the opening, their store in Debrecen was renewed and got a completely new look, and some of the fresh design elements can also be found in the now opening unit in Eger.
MediaMarkt’s newest Shop-in-Shop store in Eger covers an area of 1,300 square meters, where 16 enthusiastic colleagues await customers from now on. This time, the deal was also realized in the area of the local Tesco hypermarket, since the cooperation between the two companies has been successful and unbroken for 8 years. Eger is strategically an important milestone for the company, as it was the only county seat where they did not yet have a sales point.
“We’ve been planning the opening in Eger for a long time, but so far we haven’t found a location that would have been suitable for our systems. However, after a long preparation, it was finally possible this year”
Ágnes Környei, the operational director of MediaMarkt’s “Shop-in-shop” stores, said about the openings.
“What we are particularly happy about is that not only we, but also the settlement was looking forward to the opening. A nice resident of Eger followed our opening posts on every occasion of the opening series two years ago, and also last year, and every time he expressed his desire to establish a unit in Eger. That is why we cordially invited the gentleman to the opening and he was one of the first to visit the new sales area”
Ágnes Környei added the story she loves.
