The call for tenders to support plantations has opened
Applications for support can now be submitted for the “Horticulture – support for planting plantations and medicinal plant cultivation” announced by the Ministry of Agriculture with a budget of HUF 25.2 billion, which helps to create plantations with high productivity and high yield security.
Thanks to the support, the planting of new fruit, herb and wine grape plantations, the construction of an irrigation system essential for safe production, the creation of an ice protection net that enables the reduction and prevention of harmful climatic effects, and the construction of frost protection systems; in addition, support can be requested for the purchase of certain tools and machines that help the harvest. Agricultural producers who meet the eligibility conditions defined in terms of sales revenue and farm size are entitled to implement complex investments at the farm level.
The amount of non-refundable support may not exceed HUF 500 million
In relation to developments, the fund’s support intensity is 50 percent, but this can increase to 70 percent in certain cases. Up to 25 percent of the subsidy amount, but no more than HUF 100 million, can be requested in advance for projects. With the announcement, the Ministry of Agriculture wishes to encourage the use of innovative cultivation technology solutions necessary to meet the constantly changing climatic conditions and market demands, as well as to increase the area of irrigated plantations. The first submission phase runs from September 10th to September 23rd.
