Indigo Express opens in Allee

Indigo Express’s mission is to make traditional Indian cuisine accessible to everyone, adapting it to the 21st century lifestyle. The concept is not about simplifying the dishes, but rethinking the processes. Long-lasting bases, classic seasonings and modern presentation ensure that guests enjoy a true Indian gastronomic experience – with a short wait time. “We didn’t simplify the food, we simplified the process,” says founder Dhillon Ranjeet Singh, who has lived in Hungary for three decades and has been working to bring the flavors of India closer to the Hungarian audience for two decades.

The menu features specialties from different regions of India: from the hearty dishes of the north to the light rice and lentil dishes of the south. The classic thali tasting plate, the stuffed dosa pancake, the homemade masalas and fresh salads also offer an exciting selection for those following a vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diet. The interior of the restaurant, located in Alle, is an elegant blend of contemporary design and traditional Indian forms, and in good weather you can enjoy the lovely atmosphere of Váli Street from the terrace.

For many years, the Allee Shopping Center has been a defining meeting point in Újbuda, where, in addition to shopping, gathering experiences and culture, gastronomy also plays a prominent role. With the arrival of Indigo Express, the gastronomic offer of Allee has reached a new level. In addition to Italian, Arabic, Asian, American and Belgian flavors, the diverse cuisine of India is now also joining in with its vibrant, colorful and unforgettable world, thus further strengthening Allee’s role as the gastronomic center of Újbuda.
