The first Marriott Courtyard Hotel opened in Budapest

Marriott hotels’ first Courtyard brand officially opened in Hungary, at the Europeum, in the Blaha Lujza square. Even before the official opening in the first month, the hotel’s occupancy was approximately 30 percent.

"We are extremely pleased with the European penetration of the Courtyard brand and the construction quality of the Budapest hotel is so good, that during the planning of the future developments, the Budapest Courtyard’s image will float before our eyes." – said Amy McPherson, European director of Marriott International in her speech, at the ceremonial opening.
