The Vörösmarty Square Christmas Market has opened – premium prices, stable selection, thematic weekends

One ​​of Budapest’s most important Advent events has started: the Vörösmarty Square Christmas Market awaits visitors from the beginning of November until the holidays. According to the Pénzcentrum‘s on-site report, this year’s offer continues to target the premium category, while the organizers reported a much more restrained price change of 1.5% on average compared to last year.

Tourist-attracting programs, craft focus

The fair attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year and remains one of the most popular tourist attractions in Budapest.
The program range is also wide this year:

  • concerts and children’s programs,

  • spectacular light installations,

  • as well as thematic gastronomic weekends.

The traditional Hungarian dishes and street food offer is strong this year, and the prices clearly reflect the premium segment.
