The Farmer Expo has opened in Debrecen
The 22nd Farmer Expo opened on Saturday in the Agricultural Center in Debrecen. At East Hungary's largest agro-food trade fair, 300 exhibitors present their products and services on 17 thousand square meters.
At the opening ceremony Jakab István, vice president of the National Assembly highlighted: the development of the determining sector in the national economy is well-indicated by the fact that in 2012 the agriculture and food exports amounted to 8.1 billion euros, while imports to 4.1 billion euros.
At the opening ceremony of the Expo, according to the traditions, product and special prizes were handed over to the exhibitor with the most outstanding performances. (MTI)
