Nógrád county’s first free beach opens in Balassagyarmat

For decades it was forbidden to bathe in the lakes of Nyírjes, but this year all the legal conditions have been met so that visitors can safely splash in the lake. According to the mayor of Balassagyarmat, Gábor Csach, the decision of the government office designated the surface water on the northern shore of Lake Nyírjesi (Hetes) and the associated shoreline as a bathing place.
