MOHU supports Easter redemption with increased capacity
As the holidays approach, store traffic is expected to increase, including bottle returns, so MOHU’s cars will visit stores with increased capacity and more often than usual.
The company informed MTI on Thursday that the increased traffic requires special preparation from both the stores operating the vending machines and MOHU. The actors jointly ensure the return process, the stores receive a handling fee for each bottle, so they are responsible for cleaning and emptying the vending machines on site.
They added that MOHU will transport the collected bottles, so logistics are being increased due to the four-day holiday. MOHU’s cars will go to stores with higher traffic before the holidays to transport the bottles from there, and then visit stores more often than usual during the four-day weekend and immediately after.
In their statement, they remind us that by this spring the number of daily returns had reached 6-7 million, but there was a Saturday at Christmas when more than 10 million bottles were returned in Hungary. They drew attention to the fact that the waste from returned beverage packaging is now being sent to the appropriate place and recycled.
