The Debrecen METRO can handle increased traffic
The METRO department store chain will continuously transform its domestic stores from 2022: the wave of renovations reached METRO in Debrecen in the first half of 2024, so restaurants and independent retailers in the city of Debrecen and the county of Hajdú-Bihar can enjoy more efficient and convenient services.
Multi-channel wholesale sales
In 2021, the department store chain defined its international operating strategy focusing on key customer groups – catering and retail customers. The goal of the strategy is to complete multi-channel wholesale sales, as well as to increase and simplify the efficiency of work processes within the company. Store sales, delivery business, and digital services form the pillars of the multi-channel wholesale model. Although all areas are affected by the development, to an outside observer, the transformation of stores and customer areas is the most noticeable. So far, 12 of the chain’s 13 domestic members have been renovated: in order, Budakalász, Kelet-Pest, Szeged, Szombathely, Győr, Nyíregyház, Székesfehérvár, Ferencváros, Miskolc, Budaörs, Pécs and now Debrecen too. The cycle will end with the autumn renovation of the METRO in Kecskemét.
