Food industry gathering momentum
Domestic industrial prices were up by 0.5 per cent in February 2008, compared to January and 10.6 per cent higher than in February 2007. Average price in the food, beverages and tobacco industry was up by 12.5 per cent, compared to 2007. Export prices were up by 0.8 per cent for the same period. The monthly rate of price rise in the food industry was down to 0.2 per cent in February.
