This year’s membership fee assessment period has begun at the National Chamber of Agriculture

The membership fee assessment period for individuals (primary producers and sole proprietors) and business organizations paying sales-based membership fees at the National Chamber of Agriculture will run from June 15 to July 15, 2025.

The National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) will notify primary producers and sole proprietors among members paying sales-based membership fees by post, and business organizations in electronic form, via the company portal, of information related to the membership fee assessment, as well as the data used to determine the 2025 membership fee. These are – as a rule – the sales revenue data for 2023, which the tax authority provided to the NAK. From June 15, 2025, NAK members or their representatives can view the 2025 membership fee set for them by NAK in their e-Office account, accessible after logging in from the Chamber’s portal (www.nak.hu). It is possible to modify the data and use additional discounts known from previous years free of charge until the end of the membership fee setting period, July 15, 2025. Membership fees set by NAK that have not been accepted or corrected by this date are considered accepted in accordance with the NAK Statutes.

The deadline for paying the membership fee is July 15, 2025.

The National Delegates’ Assembly decided on the membership fee discount for 2025, affecting the majority of the membership. With a view to helping young farmers, primary producers and sole proprietors under 40 years of age and turning 40 this year will automatically receive a 30 percent discount on their membership fees. Primary producers and sole proprietors over 40 years of age with a sales revenue of less than HUF 15 million in 2023 will have their membership fees reduced by the same proportion. Due to the frost damage in April, primary producers growing pome fruits, stone fruits (TEÁOR 0124) or other fruits and stone fruits (TEÁOR 0125) will have their membership fees reduced by 30 percent this year. Sole proprietors will also have to pay 30 percent less membership fees if they grow the listed fruits as their main or secondary activity, and business organizations if they grow the listed fruits as their main activity. Chamber members who meet several conditions (age, turnover, activity) can only use one of the discounts. Members can find out about the amount of the discount received and the amount of the membership fee to be paid from the information letter sent to them and from their current account available in the e-Office. This year too, NAK members have the opportunity to authorize their accountant, tax expert, tax advisor or auditor via their e-Office account to accept or correct the 2025 membership fee on their behalf. Previously granted authorizations – if they have not been revoked in the meantime – are valid this year too. In order to reduce the administrative burden on members, the limits for the verification of discounts set out in the Articles of Association have been amended. The previous limit of 50 million forints has been increased to 150 million forints, so accountants, tax experts and tax advisors can now prove certain benefits up to the increased limit. In certain cases, this limit is 300 million forints, and in the case of primary producers and sole proprietors, there are cases where they can prove the benefit without any sales revenue limit. Detailed information on the benefits and the method of proof is provided in the current Articles of Association and on the NAK portal.
