Camera counting of tourists in Venice has begun
The camera surveillance system counting diverting and identifying visitors in Venice was launched on Sunday. Its a precursor to paid entry starting July 1.
The municipality of Venice will introduce an “entry fee” into the city from July 1, ranging between 3 and 10 euros per day, depending on the tourist season. According to earlier reports, tourists staying for one or more days, those coming to work in Venice and children under the age of six did not have to pay. (Sárközy Júlia, MTI)
