The payment of the 2022 AKG and organic farming subsidy has begun
Payments of the agri-environmental management (AKG) and ecological management (ÖKO) subsidies for 2022 have started, so during the spring works, according to the plans, the farmers participating in the programs will receive funds worth about HUF 130 billion. The Hungarian government and the Ministry of Agriculture continue to stand by Hungarian farmers – stressed István Nagy, Minister of Agriculture.

István Nagy highlighted that the administration of the payment requests submitted in 2022 is ongoing and at a fast pace, with regard to the above-mentioned calls, the Hungarian Treasury is expected to be able to close a significant part of the payments by the end of March.
Within this framework, in the first round, approximately 13,000 agricultural producers can count on a total of HUF 58.36 billion in support this week
Farmers will be notified of this decision individually, via their customer portal. With regard to the AKG subsidy, nearly 9,400 payment requests with a subsidy amount of nearly 40.5 billion forints, in the case of the ÖKO subsidy, more than 3,400 payment requests with a subsidy amount of nearly 18 billion forints were approved and payments started.
In the second round, another 5,000 farmers can count on HUF 47 billion in support
Payment requests are still being processed. The institutional system does everything to ensure that, despite the significantly increased demand, rural development area-based subsidies reach farmers as soon as possible.
