Restrictions to be lifted in Germany
The rules to slow down the fifth wave of the coronavirus pandemic will begin in Germany, with most restrictions to be lifted by March 20, as agreed by the federal and provincial governments on Wednesday.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz pointed out at a briefing with 16 provincial prime ministers that Germany was well tolerated by a wave of outbreaks of a new type of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) called omicron compared to neighboring countries, and that there were indications that the wave has reached the top.
