The importance of beekeeping is unquestionable
The importance of beekeeping is unquestionable. Its direct economic impact can be measured in billions, and indirectly it has a main role through pollination in order to maintain ecological balance and preserve biodiversity – according to the Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM).
Nagy István at the Honey Day of the Climate Friendly Sustainability Festival stressed in Budapest on Sunday that the sector provides additional or main source of income for the livelihood of thousands of families. The ministry monitors the beekeeping sector with a special focus, and the gradual increase in the competitiveness of the beekeeping sector is the objective – the Minister of State added. (MTI)
