The first, fully Hungarian developed, self-service cash register has received the official licenses
The development of Laurel is not just a a solution for labor shortages but also an option for small businesses interested in development and seamless service.
August 27, 1955 – the first self-service system store was opened in Budapest on that day. The move was sensible and innovative – it could not solve all the problems experienced by buyers in commerce, but there was considerable progress in eliminating the lines lurking at counters. 63 years have passed since, but progress has not stopped: the Laurel A232 has been licensed to introduce its first Hungarian developed, self-service cash register system.
